right arm vs left arm  
There is quite a bit of confusion over using the right arm vs the left arm with this product. I looked at the instructions and there is a different orientation of the blue line that must be followed when using the right arm. The problem is no one ever pays attention to it and everyone including blood lab technicians just apply it to the right arm the same exact way as the left arm (which is WRONG). Therefore I have to knock off a couple stars for this product causing such confusion. They never should have designed it such that the application of the arm band needs to be different depending on which arm you are using. Otherwise this product seems ok to me and the readings I have been getting seem ok and are not too high. : 2010-09-18 02:09:22

HEM-780  
My wife and I have used the HEM-780 for a couple years now and it is by far totally superior to ANY of the other Blood Pressure Monitors we have tried. This is my 2nd OMRON product and the only reason I replaced the first one is the age of the technology used in it! I still have it and IT still reads very accurately as well as this model. This model has 2 channels for myself and my wife memory allows us to review the readings for the past year or so and is VERY helpful for the home care specialist nurse to review the previous BP readings over the past 6 to 8 months. blood pressure monitor  
This product is easy to use once you get the hang of it - sit in a chair feet on the floor arm bent and try not to move your arm or talk. Brought the monitor to my doctor the first time and the numbers no-where near matched. Tried it a second time and they came very close. Reliable and Accurate  
Great product and well worth the investment. Only downer was it took 22 days to get here- if I send my friend in CA something from New Zealand it usually takes about max. 9 days! Nevertheless I was in no hurry so it really didnt matter. Product was well packaged to meet the demands of the journey to NZ and I received it in perfect condition. Recommended : 2010-09-15 10:28:33

Excellent product  
Ive had my Omron 780N3 for about a month. Very accurate - both against my old machine and the nurses. I wondered if I were getting the N3 version since Amazon had two different specs listed but it was the newer N3 model. Clear directions and simple to program. I like the two-person memory as well as having a guest mode. Good value through Amazon...less than $70. HOWEVER I like so many others have found their new cuff VERY difficult to use. It is permanently curved to fit around half the arm and it is that curved rigid design that causes a problem. Because it is so stiff the cuff tends to slide and slip around on the arm which does not allow it to be sufficiently tightened. Then when the machine starts the inflation it will not detect the cuff being in position/tight enough thus signals an ERROR. Sometimes by pressing on the area by the hose with my thumb I am able to fool the machine so that it begins to inflate and then I can release my thumb pressure.
